Tennessee Reaches Agreement on Hemp Product Regulations During Transition
Hemp industry advocates (TN Healthy Alternatives Association) and the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) have reached an agreement to clarify rules for hemp-derived cannabinoid product (HDCP) businesses as new state regulations approach.
Signed on October 23, 2025, the agreement allows suppliers and retailers with licenses issued by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture before December 31, 2025 (Legacy Licensees) to continue operating under the 2023 rules until their licenses expire. This means they won’t have to immediately switch to the new 2025 law when it takes effect on January 1, 2026.
The agreement follows a TNHAA petition for clarity on how HB 1376 applies to current licensees. Instead of a contested hearing, both parties opted for this order.
We anticipate similar resolutions in other states as hemp advocates and states agencies grapple with regulations for consumable hemp products. Thank you to the TN Healthy Alternatives Association for its good work on this issue.

Why would you platform this trash? That kight law company is working with synthetic fake cannabinoid traffickers. This farm bill needs an entire overhaul. Allowing this to happen to American citizens has been such a great disservice. Yet you have no problem with alcohol and tobacco, which kill 10’s of thousands of people every year, cause mental and health issues, cause wife beating and fights and so much more shit like this? Hemp has caused very little issues like these and so many studies show it helps the body in so many ways its ridiculous that clueless ignorant people think its so bad, yet support far worse products.
