WLOS Covers Smokable Hemp, Interviews Rod

A new WLOS story attempts to clear the air on smokable hemp.

WLOS covered the emerging smokable hemp issue yesterday. Reporter Jennifer Emert and the WLOS team did a great job covering an important, emerging, and nuanced issue. I am happy to have been interviewed for the story.

  1. And while I understand the concerns of law enforcement, we need to stop associating cannabis with the ill-effects caused by chronic use of prescription opioids, meth, fentanyl…et al. The sky isn’t falling on the states that have already fully legalized its use, and I am quite tired of hearing the same old negative tropes and lies spread by prohibitionists that are shown to be completely unfounded. This plant—both high THC and CBD variants—has such a wide array of uses, even beyond medicinal, and now is the time for our country to embrace its cultivation and use as a benefit and not something that should be continually vilified.

Thank you, Rod, for your tireless efforts and advocacy!
