WLOS Covers Smokable Hemp, Interviews Rod
WLOS covered the emerging smokable hemp issue yesterday. Reporter Jennifer Emert and the WLOS team did a great job covering an important, emerging, and nuanced issue. I am happy to have been interviewed for the story.

Rod Kight is a cannabis attorney who represents hemp farmers and hemp businesses. He speaks at cannabis conferences across the country, drafts and presents cannabis legislation to foreign governments, is regularly quoted on cannabis matters in the media, and maintains the Kight on Cannabis legal blog, where he discusses legal issues affecting the cannabis industry. You can contact him here.
And while I understand the concerns of law enforcement, we need to stop associating cannabis with the ill-effects caused by chronic use of prescription opioids, meth, fentanyl…et al. The sky isn’t falling on the states that have already fully legalized its use, and I am quite tired of hearing the same old negative tropes and lies spread by prohibitionists that are shown to be completely unfounded. This plant—both high THC and CBD variants—has such a wide array of uses, even beyond medicinal, and now is the time for our country to embrace its cultivation and use as a benefit and not something that should be continually vilified.
Thank you, Rod, for your tireless efforts and advocacy!
