Cannabis and Cars- Scientific and Legal Implications of Cannabis Use and Driving (Video)

Is cannabis use comparable to alcohol in terms of impairment? Is a blood sample the best tool for measuring impairment? How is cannabis metabolized in the body? Are people uniformly impacted by cannabis use, as is the case with alcohol, or do different people experience its effects in different ways? Since traditional DUI tests are primarily oriented towards detecting alcohol impairment do they work for cannabis impairment? If not, is it possible to create cannabis-specific testing protocols, and accompanying laws and regulations, that accurately measure impairment while not unjustly criminalizing unimpaired cannabis users? 

In this video podcast, below, I discuss the intersection of law and science that arises from cannabis use and driving.
