Rod Speaks at Cannabis Business Insurance Conference in NYC

Rod Kight, Neil Willner, Ross Bevevino, and Eduardo Provencio (L-R) spoke on cannabis insurance at a recent Business Insurance conference in NYC.

As the cannabis industry matures, insurance is becoming a major factor in its growth and normalization. In many respects, the development and availability of insurance products signals a new phase in the industry. I was honored to be asked to speak on a panel at the Business Insurance Cannabis and Hemp Conference in New York on October 25, 2019.

I enjoyed discussing emerging issues with my expert co-panelists, Eduardo Provencio (Mary’s), Ross Bevevino (Greenbrier Holdings), and moderator Neil Willner (Wilson Elser). Thanks also to my friend and colleague, Ian Stewart (Wilson Elser), for asking me to participate.

In conjunction with the event, I am pleased to have been quoted in Business Insurance magazine in its article, “Concerns over CBD labeling, health claims crop up“, which you can read by clicking here.
