The NC General Assembly just passed a comprehensive hemp law. Click here for a link to the text of the new law.

As many North Carolinians are aware, the North Carolina Industrial Hemp Association (NCIHA) is a non-profit devoted to promoting hemp growth and production in NC. Its efforts, particularly those of Executive Director Thomas Shumaker and Board Advisor Jeffrey Cartonia, are a major reason that the NC hemp bill passed the House and Senate. We expect Governor McCrory to sign the bill into law later this month. Click here for more information.

If you have an interest in NC hemp then you should join the NCIHA. Click here for a link to its membership webpage. And, of course, you can reach out to me by commenting on this post or by contacting me directly by clicking here. Stay tuned for more information on this rapidly evolving subject.
