HempX Asheville is the largest hemp-centric festival east of the Rockies.

HempX Asheville 2016 is upon us. It’s a two day festival starting today, Friday, August 19, 2016. I’ll be there, as will a large number of vendors, speakers, musicians, educators, farmers, and anyone who’s anyone in the hemp industry. If you have any interest in hemp you won’t want to miss HempX. Here’s a link to the official page: HempX online.

I hope that you’ll come out, explore the festival, and say hello to us. Ashley and I will be talking with people and passing out materials on the current state of hemp and CBD law. As you may be aware, there have been several big legal developments in the hemp, CBD, and cannabis space during the past few weeks, including:

a. new FDA guidelines on CBD products,

b. an official “Statement of Principles on Industrial Hemp” issued jointly by the DEA, the FDA, and the USDA,

c. release of the US v. McIntosh 9th Circuit Court ruling, and

d. the DEA’s request for Applications to become registered to manufacture marijuana to supply to researchers.

I’ll address all of these developments in upcoming blog posts and would love to discuss them this weekend with you at HempX.

Ashley and I would love to speak with you about hemp and CBD.
